Michael is a Policy Manager in the Building Policy Team at Building Commission NSW where he is working on the NSW Government’s reform agenda delivering transformational reforms to lift building standards and restore confidence in the NSW construction industry. 

He has extensive experience in building regulation having previously held roles in the private and public sectors relating to planning, certification, building codes and fire safety. He has also worked at various rural, regional and metropolitan councils in building and fire safety roles. He led the development of the first Practice Standard for Registered Certifiers, which provides clear guidance for registered certifiers as to the expectations of the building regulator.
